Feeding Directions
Dairy cattle can be fed 9 lbs. of Dairy Feed twice a day during milking in addition to good quality alfalfa hay. Amount of grains should be based on size of cow, body conditioning, and pounds of milk being produced.
The grain portion should make up about 1% to 1.5% body weight or ½ lb. of grain for each pound of milk. Make sure cattle have plenty of water since they drink about 15 gallons per day. A salt block or loose trace mineral salt should also be available at all times.
Provide clean, fresh drinking water at all times. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated location away from rodents and insects . Do not feed if moldy, spoiled, insect/rodent infested, or if feed has an uncharacteristic odor or appearance, as it may cause illness or death.
WARNING! Do not feed to sheep. This feed contains added copper at levels that may be toxic if consumed by sheep.
