Feeding Directions
Depending on body condition and work intensity, feed up to 1.25% of the horse’s body weight daily. Begin feeding 1/4-1/2 lb. per day and gradually increase the amount to the desired level. Less long-stemmed forage can be fed as daily amounts of this pellet are increased. In general, adult horses consume 1.5-2.5% of their body weight per day. The minimum long-stemmed forage recommendation with this pellet is 0.5-0.75% of the horse’s body weight. This pellet can be soaked with water.
Provide clean, fresh drinking water at all times. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated location away from rodents and insects. Do not feed if moldy, spoiled, insect/rodent infested, or if feed has un uncharacteristic odor or appearance, as it may cause illness or death. WARNING! – Do not feed to sheep. This feed contains added copper at levels that may be toxic if consumed by sheep.
